Maria Montessori believed that while the classroom is captivating and intriguing, it is not enough. Children must witness and experience first-hand what is out in the community. She developed "going out" or as we like to call it, 'service learning' in an attempt to connect children with the outside world.
Here at Island Montessori, we've created a program that empowers students to give their time, treasures, and talents to local organizations that inspire them!
